Kate Colbert

Kate works with authors of business books, self-help books, and memoirs (and occasionally creative nonfiction) to help them produce books that are of the highest quality possible. She draws upon decades of experience as a college English professor, magazine editor, corporate writer, and owner of a collaborative publishing company.

Coaching authors through the self-publishing process and editing their books into bestsellers and points of pride is something she does "on the side" -- she does it because she loves it, because she's good at it, and because authors deserve someone who has "been there and done that" to demystify the book-publishing industry.

New authors -- who are vulnerable to big price tags and self-publishing scams -- deserve a publishing partner and a coach who will tell them the truth and advocate for them at every turn.

What makes Kate unique among other publishing coaches? She has been a professional writer for nearly 30 years. Rarely does an author ask her a question that she doesn't have first-hand experience with -- and plenty of instructive stories to help them make informed choices about what to do next. What's more -- she has authored two very successful books since 2018 and is constantly "on the road" promoting them and speaking to the media about the books' content and themes.
